The 7th Month.

Seven whole months now have gone by and little Nollie Bear is a wonderful perfect little feisty baby boy.    Presently he is sleeping in his bed (it's 8:30pm) He's been down for 30 min and I have been in once already to give him his paci and will likely make up to 6 more trips before he finally gives in until around 1-2 when he wakes to eat and spend the rest of the night snuggling {kicking me} in bed with us.   Around 5 am he will start waking up again until I realize he's hungry and then he will snooze til 7:30 or even as late as 9 especially now that it's summer and we aren't getting up at 6:30 to get the big brothers off to school.   Needless to say the sleep thing is still a work in progress.    And some nights are better then others.
Despite the lack of sleep the guy receives he is one of the happiest babies around.  Flashing his gummy still toothless grin.   During his 6th month he has decided he is pretty much against all baby food and while he seems to enjoy table foods he hasn't mastered swallowing much without gagging.  He has also led us to believe he is on the brink of crawling for the entire month.  The second you sit him down on his play mat he instantly reaches forward and props himself up on one leg with his other tucked under his little tooshie as if he's going to crawl away, though he plops himself down on his tummy and spins circles around grabbing various things.   He is still a busy B and is in near constant motion grabbing and pulling and smacking and talking.  He still loves to pull hair and squeeze cheeks and noses.  He isn't an especially gentle boy.  Despite his busy body self he will just sit and relax in our laps many times a day.    He is a fabulous snuggler and loves to just sit in my lap playing with toys.
His personality is starting to show and I think he is going to be full of life and happy and fun.    I have a feeling he is going to be similar to Zachary and just a fun loving happy go lucky boy.  While he is quite the happy guy, during this month he has discovered he has an opinion and that he can voice it.  He cries if something he really wants is taken from him or kicks his feet when he gets angry.   His temper is emerging right along with the rest of that happy personality!  He finds Zachary to be fabulously funny and giggles at him the easiest.  While he giggles with Zachary, he calms with Jakeb.   He loves all of his big brothers and gets so very excited when they come in the room.   Gavin isn't quite sure what to say to him yet and just repeats "Hey Buddy, Hey Nolan" over and over.  Hehe.
And the hair?   Yeah it's in his eyes and most people call him a girl...but I am hoping we can hold out cutting it a bit longer!
Nolan is still unsure of new people but is getting better about going to Robert and other people even if I am in the room.  He is a popular guy with all the kids that come around and seems to be a hit with the ladies.   He is teetering right on the edge of being able to completely pull himself to standing.   He has pulled himself to his knees many times and has pulled himself to a diagonally standing position but hasn't quite gotten himself completely upright standing on his own just yet, but is oh so very close.
Today at 7 months 4 days he got himself to a sitting position from laying down.  I really should put that for 8 months--I really don't think he even realized he did it.  Tomorrow the crib mattress is getting lowered since he officially can sit up and therefore pull himself up all on his own.   So happy 7 months to our happy baby lovey!

I apparently took A LOT of pictures for this month...can't decide a favorite so I am adding a bunch.  Enjoy!

(picture feet kicking going on here...because it was!)

He was DONE-ZO!

His 7 month pictures were taken right before bed time and he was quickly not a fan...his expressions are great.   And he spent most of the time looking out the back door at the dogs behind him.  And also he tried to "crawl" off the ottoman this time in fact he did dive right over the side, I caught him but barely!...and Robert stood him in front of it and he stood there for a good bit leaning against it.  Pretty impressive we think.
