Wordless Wednesday

Tuesday Twelve

1.  You like all those picture posts?  Yeah thought ahead and scheduled a handful...smarty pants I am.

2.  We head north this weekend to TN for a wedding.  It was a nice quick trip...we came back one less child but 2 more.   

3.  Zman stayed in TN to spend a few days with his very best friend and Jakeb and Gavin's bff's came to GA with us to spend a few days with us.  We will do a swap around tomorrow.

4.  The sunrises much too soon in TN and we think it's bonkers.  Seriously it's bright and sunny way too early there.

5.  I hesitate to say this for fear I will jinx it but mingled in with Nolan's 15 min naps he has had a handful of naps that lasted nearly an hour and a half.  

6.  Our high today was like 70 which is crazy.  90 in March and barely over 60 in June.  Whacked weather.  

7.  My plan was to start on the adoption paperwork this week....didn't plan on the extra bodies being here so I will get into gear with it next week.   I thought dragging my feet would be harder now I am having a harder time jumping back into gear with all the blasted paperwork.  

8.  I tossed some grass seed out in the back yard and am very happy to see it growing...hopefully it will stay!

9.  Gavin has been all about smoothies lately.   So we are trying a fruit loaded/spinach loaded smoothie a day.   After all the illness he had last year I am bound and determined to make 1st grade a healthier school year....so this is a start!  (For the record Gavin doesn't eat any fruit but has decided he does in fact like them in smoothies.  Score.) (also for the record spinach is 100% not tastable in a smoothie)

10.  Also while I know there are much better smoothie making products THIS has been perfect for us.  

11.  Nolan refuses to eat nearly all solids.  I find this very frustrating...especially as I was all eager to make his baby food--so I have and he won't eat it.  Boo.

12.  We are going camping at the beach for 3 days soon...I am praying this wasn't a terrible idea.  I think it will be ok...everyone else looks at us like we are crazy.   We shall see!

A Cutie Patootie in a Chair.

Nolan is going on 7 months in like a week...and all month I have been saying I need to get some pictures of the boy.  Big boy outside pictures....I finally took him out a week or so ago and attempted some on my own.  First off no easy task with a busy B boy like he is and secondly well I need extra hands and distractions....but he's cute.  Like really cute.

(tossed in a few out takes...trust me I have dozens more.  He spent 90% of the time looking else where eating the chair or the grass and generally being a 6 month old)

Birthday Partay.

So after much thought we are reinstating the birthday partying....I am thinking we will do a on again off again deal.  So this year Gavin got a party...next Jakeb and Zachary will if they so choose.
Gavin requested a water slide rental at our house...after much searching we located a "reasonable" slide and prayed for good weather.  The kids had a blast and the slide was insane.  It was already a bit steep and then was put in the front yard on the tiniest little slope and the kids were flying down!   All 3 boys woke up sore the next day...oops!

 We got to keep the slide until the next day at 7 (just by chance they don't normally rent it so long) so they were stoked to come home to it all set up waiting for them!

Flashbacks...

I haven't been doing much picture posting for the past forever...mostly because getting pics on here takes a few more steps than just typing out some ramblings does.  Often the pictures are actually residing on my camera for weeks before they actually make it over to the computer.  And those that are on my phone well I am not sure the best way to go about getting them from there to here.  Therefore picture sharing has not been happening and while I could promise to be better I won't--but again I will say I will try.  
I went thru all the memory cards and tracked down photos....I probably should go way back but let's just start with a few "gems" from the past month mmmk?
First up...Nolan's first bits of food from a spoon.  Avocado.

See?  I had to share those.  Funny stuff.
Next up...Gavin's Birthday.  He had a party but let's keep things chronological for now...party was at the end of the month...

Next up...Mother's Day.   We hosted a brunch at our house this year.  My grandmother came up from Florida and my aunt and uncle came from South Carolina.  We have an aunt and a cousin that live here in Atlanta area as well....AND my brother and his wife.  AND my mom and stepdad and bro from TN. All sandwhiched between baby gear and the fireplace.  Trying to get some semblance of a "family" photo.  Notice taht the boys were less than eager for some picture taking time.  The last one of this bunch is my brothers with the babies...my bro Robert (yes same name) has Nolan and Michael as Robert's baby Reagan.
